Three new Vikings!: Nick Reed, Kevin Murphy and Tyler Holmes

Nick Reed, a new Viking, as an Oregon Duck.

In only two days, the Vikings have signed on three new players for next season

Nick Reed, a defensive end, had been drafted in 2009 by the Seattle Seahawks, but was out of the season in 2010, so in 2011 he joined the Chicago Bears and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He was finally signed to the Vikings yesterday.

Kevin Murphy, a tackle, came straight out of Harvard, but hadn't been drafted. He was a free-agent for the San Francisco 49ers, but when he was waived the Vikings snapped him up to replace former tackle Jose Valdez.

Finally, Tyler Holmes, a guard, was drafted last year in the Canadian Football League but decided to opt out for another year and will be joining the Vikings this year. Kris Adams, a receiver that joined at the end of 2011, was waived so Holmes could join.

Congratulations, Vikings! Best of luck!
