Vikings fans cheer at the Metrodome. Thankfully, not much will be changing in the coming seasons - just a much better stadium (Photo from Creative Commons) |
This week had been a
whirlwind for Vikings fans. After months of debating and going back and forth
on where the building will be, how much the state will pay and countless other
points, Governor Mark Dayton has signed the bill. The decision has been
finalized for the Vikings to stay centered in Minneapolis in a stadium costing
almost a billion dollars at the site of the current Hubert H. Humphrey
Metrodome.
For many fans, the Metrodome has been a pain and the stadium can't be built fast enough. Especially since most of the state contribution comes from a gambling fee expansion, not user fees.
How are you feeling about the plans for the new stadium?
