Vikings Work Hard in Off Season

Many Minnesota Vikings players are part of a 14 week intense conditioning program that began in the middle of March. The program is aimed at increasing the players' speed, strength, power and stamina. Safety Darren Sharper said, "We're working on our cardiovascular endurance. A lot of the workouts that we're doing are high-repetition or longer distance stuff, so that we get that base conditioning strong and build up endurance. It's a lot of stuff to get you back into the movement of football."

Let’s hope the intense conditioning and the upcoming camps will be enough to let the Minnesota Vikings take the field and actually score a few points this year. Minnesota Vikings fans won’t be rushing into the Metrodome any time soon if the Vikes don’t prove themselves early on.
