Vikings Coach Leslie Frazier Fired

It's hard to admire a coach when the losses keep piling up, which is how I feel about Leslie Frazier. The Vikings have fired Frazier today (Monday), which is one year after the the Vikings made the playoffs and one day after the Vikings finished a 5-10-1 season.

The Associated Press got a quote from safety Harrison Smith who said: "It's a harsh business. As a player, we all love coach Frazier, as a coach, as a man. You can't meet a better guy. And also as a player, we didn't make enough plays on the field. So you just feel like you let him down a little bit." I think that sums Leslie Fraizer up nicely.

Leslie Fraizer was hired by Brad Childress to be the defensive coordinator in 2007. Frazier also interviewed for seven head coach openings over a three-year span: Atlanta and Miami in 2008, Denver, Detroit and St. Louis in 2009, and Buffalo and Seattle in 2010. His opportunity came with the Vikings when Childress was fired in the middle of a messy 2010 season.

We can't wait to what the new coach of the Vikings will do next season!
