Adrian Peterson's 2-Year-Old Son Allegedly Beaten

Usually we have some great news for our Vikings fans but not today. Adrian Peterson's 2-year-old son is in critical condition at a South Dakota hospital after he was allegedly beaten by a man dating the boy's mother.

And then the Pioneer Press reported today that Adrian Peterson's father, Nelson Peterson, confirmed the report. He said, "All I can say is, we are asking for prayers and for respect for our family as we deal with this tragic situation," he told the paper.

I love Adrian Peterson and I'm so sorry that this happened to his family. This should never happen to a child. It's sad that it takes someone famous to create the type of response child abuse is now getting, but in a way it opens peoples eyes to what happens every day.
