Vikings Lions Rivalry
The Lions-Vikings rivalry is a rivalry between the Detroit Lions and Minnesota Vikings. The Lions and Vikings have been battling since the Vikings entered the league in 1961. Minnesota has dominated the series; however, Detroit has given the Vikings, a usual contender for the NFL playoffs, many close games over the years.
Although the Vikings have dominated the rivalry, Lions fans claim to cause the Vikings more trouble than the other NFC North sides Chicago Bears and Green Bay Packers. Detroit are currently on a three game winning streak their second longest ever against the Vikings. The Lions have won both games that have gone to overtime between the pair in 2007 and 2011.

Viking's vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers Thursday Game
Apparently, traveling all the way to cold Minnesota to play on Thursday night was supposed to be tough for Tampa Bay......
Well, in the game I saw, rookie Doug Martin ran around the field as if he didn't want to leave.
Martin racked up 214 total yards -- including a career-high 135 rushing -- and two touchdowns, and the Buccaneers romped to a 36-17 victory to hand the Vikings their first home loss this season.
And let's just say, fans were disappointed. However, Adrian Peterson had a season-long 64-yard run for a score that brought the Vikings to 30-17, but THEN his lost fumble in Minnesota territory in the second quarter led directly to a touchdown by the Buccaneers (3-4). Typical.....
Let's see how the Vikes can fare on Sunday against the Seahawks.
