Brett Favre Update
Unfortunately, nothing really "new" to report on the Brett Favre update. Coach Brad Childress stated after visiting Favre, "I don't know what he will do." That seems to be the common theme, that Brett Favre is still unsure. He mentioned it after the ESPY Awards in Los Angeles earlier this month too that he was still undecided. The hope among Minnesota Vikings fans is that Brett Favre will sit out training camp but be ready in time for some of the preseason games and the start of the regular season. Speaking of preseason games, to purchase any preseason or regular season tickets check out Ticket King. Please come back Brett!

Head Coach Brad Childress visits Brett Favre
Minnesota Vikings head coach Brad Childress visited Hattiesburg, Mississippi earlier this week to meet with quarterback Brett Favre. Although it's been reported that there wasn't a deadline discussed, it has to be assumed that they talked about Brett Favre's return. Favre still is sticking with the story that he's unsure about what he will do. Most Viking fans believe Brett Favre holds out just so he doesn't have to attend training camp, like last season. Hopefully he can make an announcement earlier this year, but if not Minnesota Vikings fans are ready for him after training camp again.

Brett Favre Not Concerned With Health
Brett Favre gave an interview recently to Men's Journal Magazine. In the interview he told them, "Playing another year probably isn't going to make a difference. The damage has already been done." This implies that his ankle/shoulder status would not be restraining him to return for his 20th season. He spoke of how sometimes he would be wondering why he was still playing football and how it became work but that "Last year it went back to being a game." Last night, Brett Favre won an ESPY Award in Los Angeles for "Best Play" when he threw the last second touchdown pass to Greg Lewis to defeat the San Francisco 49ers.

Sidney Rice Has Hip Injury, Should Be Ready By Season
Star Minnesota Viking wide receiver Sidney Rice has revealed he has a lingering hip injury. The Star Tribune has reported Sidney Rice has a hip injury that has been bothering him from last season. Sidney Rice's agent Drew Rosenhaus reported on Twitter that Rice does indeed have a hip injury after rumors speculated that Rice needed surgery. However, Rosenhaus believes the injury won't require surgery and he's hopeful Sidney Rice will be ready at the start of camp and the regular season. Last season, Sidney Rice had 83 receptions, 1,312 yards, and 8 touchdowns, earning a Pro Bowl birth. Hopefully we will see Rice back in form during the preseason. Preseason tickets are available for under $5 with Ticket King right now.

Brett Favre Throwing to High Schoolers in Mississippi
Stop the press. It is reported that quarterback Brett Favre began throwing to high schoolers in Mississippi last week. Okay, so it isn't earth shattering. But again, it is good news for Minnesota Vikings fans. After last season's NFC Championship loss to the New Orleans Saints, the future for Brett Favre was up in the air. Although still under contract for the Minnesota Vikings, Brett Favre took a lot of hits in the game and of course would be another year older this season. After having offseason ankle surgery, telling the Southern Mississippi baseball team he would return if they made it to the College World Series, and telling reporters he'd love to beat the Saints, this is another indication he should be back. He has started stopping by Oak Grove High School football practices to throw to the receivers. Those receivers must be thrilled to have an icon like Brett Favre visiting their practices.
